Referral Program & Rewards

The Referral Program is a strategic incentive system that rewards your existing customers (Advocates) for bringing in new shoppers (Friends). By automating the tracking and reward distribution, the program turns your customer base into an active marketing team.

1. The Advocate Experience

  • Unique Referral Links: Every member of the loyalty program is assigned a personalized URL that they can copy and share directly from their dashboard.

  • Real Time Tracking: Advocates can see exactly how many people they have successfully referred (e.g., "Referred a total of 8 customers") right on their profile page.

  • Automated Rewards: Once a referred friend completes a qualifying action, such as their first purchase, the advocate is automatically notified via email that they have earned a reward.

2. Program Logic & Security

  • Qualifying Action: Admins define what counts as a successful referral for the advocate reward typically when the referred friend completes a qualifying purchase (e.g., paid order / eligible financial status), helping prevent misuse.

  • Advocate Only Reward Issuance: Only the advocate (the person sharing the referral link) receives the reward once the qualifying conditions are met.

  • Automated Email Confirmation: A “Referral Reward Earned” email can be triggered as soon as the advocate reward is issued to keep the advocate informed and engaged.

3. Admin Management & Insights

  • Referral Tracking in Customer Table: Admins can view, sort, and filter customers by their referral count to identify top advocates.

  • Unique Referral Links:: In the customer profile view, admins can see the advocate’s unique referral link, total referred customers, and referral related activity (rewards/points issued).

  • Admin Controls (If Needed): Admins can adjust points or exclude an advocate from the program based on store policy and program rules.
