VIP Tiers & Points Multipliers

VIP Tiers let you group customers into membership levels (for example: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond) and reward higher value customers with better benefits. This creates a sense of progression and encourages customers to shop more to unlock higher tiers.

How VIP Tiers Work

When VIP tiers are enabled, each customer is assigned a tier based on criteria selected by the admin. Tier upgrades happen automatically as customers meet the requirements.

Tier Qualification Methods (Admin Selectable)

Admins can choose how customers qualify for tiers using any of the following:

  • Points Earned: Tier is based on the total points a customer has earned over time.

  • Points Spent: Tier is based on how many points a customer has redeemed.

  • Orders Placed: Tier is based on the total number of completed orders.

This flexibility helps merchants align tiers with their business goals (spending, engagement, or purchase frequency).

Points Multipliers (Earn More at Higher Tiers)

Each tier can include a points multiplier, which increases how many points a customer earns on eligible purchases.

Example:

  • Bronze: 1x points

  • Silver: 1.5x points

  • Gold: 2x points

So if a customer normally earns 100 points on an order:

  • Silver (1.5x) earns 150 points

  • Gold (2x) earns 200 points

This motivates customers to reach and maintain higher tiers.

VIP Tier Benefits (Reward Types per Tier)

Each tier can unlock its own set of rewards, such as:

  • Fixed Amount Discounts (e.g., $10 off)

  • Percentage Discounts (e.g., 15% off)

  • Free Shipping

  • Free Products (admin selected products only)

Tier rewards are predefined by the admin and are available only to customers who are currently in that tier.

Tier Visibility for Customers

Customers can view:

  • Their current VIP tier

  • Points multiplier (if applicable)

  • Tier-based perks and rewards

  • Progress toward the next tier (if enabled)

Benefits for Merchants

VIP tiers help merchants:

  • Increase repeat purchase rate

  • Encourage customers to spend more to level up
